You cannot just turn up at the field to shoot. You MUST make a booking for a specific target in advance online.
We have a number of targets set out at different distances, available to members for booking in two-hour time slots. The start times for different targets are deliberately staggered to reduce the numbers of members arriving at any given time. If you have the last slot of the day, you can stay on later (until dusk) - but you must liaise with any others present so that everyone does not leave at once (to avoid crowding of areas where distancing is less easy to maintain).
• Bookings can be made up to two weeks in advance
• You are allowed to book two, two hour slots per person (or household group) per day
• These bookings may be consecutive (to enable you to have a 4 hour time slot)
• You are allowed to book up to four two hour slots per person (or household group) per week.
Bookings will be monitored, and any excess bookings will be cancelled (in this situation, the choice of specific booking(s) to be cancelled would be at our discretion: you will receive notification of any cancelled bookings).
We will be monitoring usage of the different times, and distances, and we may revise the target positions to prioritise more popular distances, if appropriate. We may also adjust the number of slots that one person (or household member) can book for a given day / or week as the situation progresses.
The fields will generally be closed every Wednesday morning for grass cutting and other field maintenance as required. However, if we hit a period of inclement weather where it is not possible to cut grass at the normal time, it may be necessary to close the fields at relatively short notice to enable this maintenance to go ahead. We will endeavour to give 2 days’ notice in this event and will contact the archers (by email) who may have booked slots at the affected time(s).
Please only book slots that you will actually use, and be considerate in your choice of times. Please use "off-peak" times as far as is possible for your situation, and help keep peak times free for those who have less flexibility in their schedules.
Arrive promptly at the start of your slot, and leave promptly when you are finished, and by no later than the scheduled end of your booking slot. Do not arrive early for your slot, or stay on after it has finished even if there are no other bookings on either side of your slots.
If your plans change, please amend or cancel any bookings that you can no longer use.
Members in household groups are requested to shoot on the same target as much as possible to maximise capacity.
Sorry we don't allow guest booking. If you would like to contact the club please use the form below.
