Welcome to Tudor Sailing Club

About the club, courts available and more...

Tudor Sailing Club has a variety of club owned boats that members can book for their own use. The club offers these boats at a small cost to help fund their maintenance and hopefully replacements in years to come.

For 2018 the following charges apply
Sailing Dinghy - Single handed - £3 per session
Sailing Dinghy - Double Handed - £5 per session
Rowing Gig - Per Rower - £2 per session, cox is free
Double handed Kayak - £4 per session (2hrs)
Single handed Kayak - £2 per session (2hrs)

Cadet nights - boats are allocated on the evening at the cost of £2 per cadet.

This booking system can only be used if you have been given a FastCourts members account. These are only configured for members who have received training in rigging/using the club boats. If you have already received this training, or would like to arrange a training session, please email clubboats@tudorsailing.org.uk.

To load credit onto your account, please go to your 'profile' page (see the menu above) and select 'ADD FUNDS TO YOUR ACCOUNT' on the right hand side of your page. The system is linked to Tudor Sailing Clubs PayPal Account which is used to accept payments. You do not need to have a PayPal account yourself to pay for credit, just a valid debit or credit card.

Please do not select an opponent when booking a club boat - this function is not relevant to your booking.

The following policies are in place to manage the booking of club boats:

> First priority is to the cadet programme, the cadet leadership team will manage their use on Wednesday evenings and during Cadet events.

> Second priority is for members’ use during any organised club event (racing or organised cruising)

> Users must be able to rig and de-rig the boats competently. This will be covered in a demonstration session, please keep an eye on tidal diamonds for the next one or email clubboats@tudorsailing.org.uk to find out.

> Users must put the boats and equipment away in a clean and tidy state, and immediately report any problems to the Sailing Committee.

> Club Sailing Dinghies are not to be used in wind conditions where gusts are in excess of 20 knots. If the wind strength is strong, please refer to www.chimet.co.uk to assess the maximum observed gusts. Please consider that Chimet has an archive of wind conditions, and if damage occurs to the boat when is being used outside of the permitted wind range, the user may be liable for the cost of repairs.

> The club will monitor usage and reserves the right to bar any individual member or groups of members from using the boats (for example if they are misusing the boats) / or limit their usage (for example, if it is felt they are preventing other people from getting a chance to try the boats)
